CDOT's Military Access Mobility Safety Project
Project Overview
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will temporarily close the southbound Interstate 25 on and off-ramps near August 9, 2024, as part of the Military Access Mobility Safety Improvements Project. The project will focus on enhancing connectivity and accessibility at several military bases in the area.
Safety and Mobility Improvements
The project will include various safety and mobility improvements, such as:
*- A temporary on-ramp for drivers entering northbound South Academy Boulevard
- Temporary closures of the on-ramp from Hartford Street to southbound I-25
- Improvements to the Highway 24 interchange near Western Slope Law Enforcement
These improvements aim to enhance traffic flow, reduce congestion, and improve safety for all road users.
Project Impact
The project will temporarily impact traffic in the affected areas. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes and to allow for additional travel time. CDOT will provide updates and information about the project and closures through its website and social media channels.
The Military Access Mobility Safety Improvements Project is a critical investment in the safety and mobility of our military and civilian communities. CDOT is committed to completing the project as efficiently and effectively as possible to minimize disruption and ensure a successful outcome.
